Becoming Me

Becoming ME, reconnecting with who I was.

"I just don’t know who I am anymore."

I hear this so often with my clients.

Life, years, work, children, aging parents… The numerous roles and hats we juggle often send us into Superwoman energy, flipping from one role to the next. While we manage for a few weeks, a few months, our body often comes to a time when it starts to struggle and says STOP!

This was me, and when I stopped and looked around, I was not sure who I was anymore. I was lost. So I had to start looking for me. Start reconnecting with who I was. Becoming Me!
It took me a while but slowly, by reaching out, by attending self-development workshops and working with a coach, I found a way back to me. I tried many things, but 3 steps really made a difference to reconnect with who I was.

  1. Connecting with ME

Feeling what my body was feeling and saying. Learning to recognise the signs of exhaustion, accept the need for rest, and replenishing my energy: sleep, eat, exercise…

But looking after the body after burn out is not enough. I had to learn to look after my mind, learning the triggers that got my emotions to overflow. Start to make space and time in my life to take care of my emotional hygiene: dance, meditate, pray, journal...

  2. Connecting with OTHERS

Sometimes our friendships change as we grow into a different phase of our life. Not because our friends don’t like us but because we have less in common, or we are further apart.

Great friendships will rekindle if they are meant to, but it doesn't mean you can’t meet new people. Finding people and groups that bring positivity in your life, people you have something in common with, like the Kaleidoscopes.

If you are unsure where to start Join one of my women circles here, a safe space to stop running after everyone and start looking after yourself while connecting with other likeminded women.

  3. Connecting with MORE

Finally to Become more ME, I needed to connect with my soul, my vision, my dreams. One way I did that was by using Vision Boards. They allowed me to dream again, to believe in more for my life, for my family, for ME. Every time I looked at my board throughout the year, I started reconnecting with Me.

If you want to create your own, read this blog and download my guide and meditation, which can be found here.

If you are unsure of who you are, or if life feels a little grey and unexciting, just start with a little step, start dreaming, start remembering who you are.

Today is the day you start to Become more YOU!
